Nutrition Graduates is hosting our first Sports Nutrition event to help you to develop your knowledge, understanding and confidence when advising your clients in these different areas. The outline of the event is below:
10-11am – Aimee O’Keefe
Injury Nutrition with the Female Athlete and my experiences so far
How do you adapt a programme, including nutrition, when an athlete has an injury?
About Aimee:
Aimee Ellen O’Keeffe is a Performance Nutritionist at Manchester United Women’s team and owner of Committed Nutrition Ltd, her own private nutrition coaching company. Aimee is passionate about the female athlete, particularly breaking down barriers to fuelling and changing attitudes towards carbohydrates. Aimee has carried out a lot of research since starting in her role at Manchester United, analysing areas such as MD-1 carbohydrate intake, injury nutrition, half time carbohydrate intake to name a few. 
Her sporting background is Football, CrossFit and more recently Indoor Rowing which helps massively when practising fuelling and recovery strategies which transfer over to her day job. 
11am-12pm – Emmy Campbell
Fuelling female athletes: how different is it actually?
With the rise in awareness and understanding of female physiology, the topic of fuelling female athletes is more and more popular. But how does this look compared to make athletes and what do we need to consider beyond the menstrual cycle?
About Emmy:
Emmy is an SENR registered sports nutritionist with experience of working with male and female footballers of all levels. She is currently the performance nutritionist for Sunderland AFC and has previously worked in the WSL. In her current role, Emmy supports both the men’s and women’s first team, supporting them with their nutrition to maximise performance, training, and body composition, as well as fuelling the female players for their full-time jobs outside of their football careers too.
12-1pm – Danny Webber
Nutritional Considerations to fuel your performance. 
Highlighting the key nutritional strategies to fuel training, maximise recovery and prepare for competition.
About Danny:

Danny is a SENr registered Performance Nutritionist with over 8 years’ experience in supporting high performance athletes within a variety of sports, including football, rugby, table tennis, golf, powerlifting, boxing and other make-weight sports, and a variety of endurance and ultra-endurance disciplines.As well as working with competitive athletes through his consultancy, Webber Nutrition, Danny is currently working with Sheffield Wednesday FC, University of Liverpool’s student athlete high performance programme and a performance nutrition consultant for Nutrition X.
